2 Day Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga and Fes

DAY 1: OUARZAZATE - SKOURA - DADES VALLEY - MERZOUGA DESERT

We pick you up from your Riad/Hotel , we pass through the little Berber villages of Skoura. Then we visit Dades Gorges, we continue to Todra Gorge where the cliffs are as high as 600m and only 10m apart. We leave Todra passing through many Berber villages to pass through Tinjdad where we can stop for lunch or if you preferrable continue to Rissani where you could have the local speciality, Berber Pizza for lunch if we get there by Midday. After lunch we make our way to Merzouga to meet the camels joining us on our trek. The camels take us to a Berber camp in the middle of an oasis amidst the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. It is a unique and diverse environment. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the camp where we continue the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle. The tents are well equipped and we provide mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert night with traditional Berber drums.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT- MIDELT - IFRAN - FES

Our 2 Day Tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga and Fes continues and we enjoy sunrise camel trek over the dunes, we ride camels across dunes, then you meet up with your driver/guide and set off on a long but scenic drive to Fes, crossing the Ziz Valley through Errachidia. Continuing on, you will make your way to Midelt, in the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will pass through cedar forests (where there is the opportunity to spot some Barbary apes, and perhaps stop to get some pictures), and through the Berber Towns of Imouzzar and Ifran - both famous with Moroccans for offering skiing and other snow sports during winter. Finally, you will arrive in Fes late in the afternoon, and will be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
