Enjoy a private full-day Morocco excursion to Essaouira, located 170 Km (105 miles) west Marrakech along Morocco's Atlantic Coast. It is a small coastal city with an attractive old medina, which had been declared as a Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN GUIDED DAY TRIP FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA

We will pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech and we drive through the cultures of Argans to Essaouira city. It offers many opportunities for discovery cultural and artistic cravings. The city of Essaouira seems to have escaped the excesses of the modern era. It offers visitors a stunning look into the traditions of Morocco. It has immutable market scenes and a lifestyle that is not found anywhere else.  

We departure from Marrakech at 9 am, heading to Chichaua, with a short stop in Sidi Al Mokhtar. We pass by some Argan tree plantations. Then we stop in a female coop-producing the precious Argan oil, giving you a chance to appreciate this crop that is unique to the area.

Essaouira is an ancient port city on the Atlantic Coast, 180 km away from Marrakech. The city is well known for its excellent windsurfing and kite surfing on beaches. Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the city is a well-loved destination both for locals and tourists. The walls that surround the old city are a reminder of the period of Portuguese occupation. We explore “site La Scala”. Essaouira is also know for Gnawa music. After lunch in a fish-restaurant we discover the Medina -full of crafts like woodworking, inlay, leather. We explore spice markets, bustling souks and relaxing cafes. After a full day spent enjoying Essaouira monuments,we drive back to Marrakech where we come around 7 pm.
