DAY 1: CHEFCHAOUEN - OUAZANE -VOLUBILIS - FES

We begin our genuine adventure after breakfast, passing via the villages of Wazan and Rif. In Volubilis, we'll see the Roman ruins and the Holy City of Moulay Idriss. We'll go on to Fes. Dinner and overnight accommodations are provided in a lovely, traditional riad. End of the first day of a 7-day Morocco tour from Chefchaoeun.

DAY 2: FES CITY EXCURSION

Today we will have a guided tour to Fes el Bali, as well as the old city - medina. With its small alleyways, it will feel like you're traveling through an old world. You will be guided through the medina by a qualified guide and will learn about the history of Fes as you visit the most noteworthy sections of the city. Lunch will be served in a typical restaurant in the center of the medina. Spend the night at the riad.

DAY 3: FES - IFRAN - MIDELT

After breakfast, we will continue our 7-day Morocco tour by driving to the desert through the mountains, where we will visit the city of Ifrane, a famous ski resort known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its distinctive architecture. We'll go to Azrou's cedar forest, where we could see some wild local monkeys. Following that, we go to Midelt, a mining city, and then continue on mountain routes overlooking the broad flowing Oued Ziz. We proceed via the adobe-colored city of Er-Rachidia and arrive at Merzouga in the late afternoon, spending the night in a kasbah with dinner.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT + CAMEL TOUR

After breakfast, we continue our desert excursion. Along the trip, we'll stop at the town of Khamlia to rest as the people sing traditional Gnawa music. Then we'll go to the Oasis of Merzouga, where you'll learn about the extremely old irrigation system that is still in operation. After our stroll around the oasis, we'll go to Rissani to discover historic Ksours and Kasbahs. Today we also ride camels into Erg Chebbi's magnificent dunes! You will spend the night in a desert bivouac camp, where you will be fed a great traditional supper and entertained by Berber music. Experience the mysterious stars of the Sahara Desert before retiring for a peaceful night in a beautiful nomad tent. Please let us know if you want to stay in comfortable Sahara desert hotel in Merzouga rather than a Sahara desert tent.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT- TODRA - DADES

After breakfast, you will return to the car by camel and drive back to Erfoud. You leave Erfoud behind the High Atlas Mountains on your way to the Todra Gorges. You walk the base of the towering Todra Gorges in the afternoon (600 feet high). The gorgeous river valleys provide for a delightful trek towards Morocco's southeast. Then continue on your journey to the breathtaking Dades Gorges. Dinner and stay at a classic Dades Valley hotel.

DAY 6: DADES - OUARZAZATE - AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the High Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate on your 7-day Morocco tour from Chefchaoeun. Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco's gems, is tucked away in the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch at Ait Ben Haddou, we will explore the kasbah before continuing on to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains. Dinner and lodging are provided by the riad.

DAY 7: MARRAKECH MEDINA TOUR

Today will be spent in Marrakech, the "Pearl of the South." We will see the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs, the Menara garden, and the Bahia Palace. After that, we'll head back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll go to the souks, the Medina, and the Jemaa El Fna plaza. Dinner is at Jemaa El Fna in the evening, where you may experience the nightlife in the square.
