4X4 DESERT TOUR WITH PROFESSIONAL DRIVER / GUIDE

The tour starts in Merzouga where we pick you up in the morning and depart to the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will go around the desert and be able to admire how the dunes stand in sharp contrast to the blue sky. We will visit the Berber nomads who live in the desert, spend some time with them to learn their secrets, manners and enjoy their hospitality. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in one of the nomad settlements of the desert. The next stop is Khamlia where we will see a show of Gnawa music. You will also visit the black volcanic rock locations and the Lake Merzouga, which in springtime sparkles in the bright sunlight. Late in the afternoon we return to Merzouga.

EXCURSION IN DESERT MERZOUGA

SAND BATH THERAPY DURING SUMMER MONTHS

Our experienced travel company in Morocco offers attractive Merzouga desert excursion called “sand bath therapy”. This is an unique and ancient Berber treatment. It is suitable for curing ailments affecting the joints. Any problems with muscles and tendons are ideal for this. The sand treatment is available during the summer months ( July and August). We provide covers and guide. Once we start, we dig a basin in the sand. Its gonna be about 20 centimeters deep. Our basin is left exposed to the sun. (around 30 minutes). Its is necessary to allow the heat to penetrate the desert sand. Then the person lie down in it and we will cover your body with warm sand. Covering with a hat is necessary as the sun is really strong. During the sand bath therapy we serve you water. The treatment takes about 15–30 minutes.
