3 DAY TOUR FROM FES TO DESERT IN MERZOUGA
Reserve very popular private tour with “Trips Around Morocco ” , we visit Middle Atlas Mountains , Merzouga desert including camel trekking and sleeping in Sahara camp. This guided tour in Morocco can be modified depends on your travel plan.
DAY 1: FES - MIDDLE ATLAS - MERZOUGA DESERT - CAMEL TREK
We pick you up in the morning and depart to Merzouga. We will stop at Azrou, a famous Berber village in the Cedar woods to enjoy the view and see the Barbary apes. We continue to the beautiful Midelt. During this journey you can admire the amazing landscape of the Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley. We arrive to the Merzouga desert late in the afternoon. There you will take a camel ride to get to the heart of the desert and also be able to admire the beautiful sunset. At night you will have a delicious Berber dinner and enjoy a great campfire party with drums and Berber songs. You will spend the night in a nomad tent under a beautiful sky studded with stars.
DAY 2: MERZOUGA EXCURSION AND ERG CHEBBI DESERT NOMADS - KHAMLIA - CAMEL RIDE TO CAMP
This is an entire day in the desert. In the morning you can watch a beautiful sunrise, walk over the sand dunes and admire the amazing landscape of the Sahara Desert. After breakfast we start by going around the Erg Chebbi, make a stop at Tissardmine oasis where we can find fossil excavations. We head towards a Berber settlement to spend some time with the desert nomads and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop is Khamlia, where we will see a show of Gnawa music. Late in the afternoon you will be transferred to the camp. Please let us know if you want to stay in Comfortable Sahara desert lodging in Merzouga rather than a desert tent.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT TO ATLAS AND FES
Trips Around Morocco continues today and after breakfast we will start our way back to Fes via the Tafilalt palm grove where you will see thousands of big palm trees. We will continue towards Midelt and the beautiful city of Ifrane, also known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. The view and the scenery across the Atlas Mountains are truly fascinating. We will arrive in Fes and transfer you to the hotel.
NOTE : This is a private Morocco trip, thus there will be no other people in your travel. You can request that the private driver stop wherever you choose for photographs or a break along your guided tour to desert.
